Iaido and Kendo

Iaido

Kendo

Iaido: If Iaido is the soul of the sword then Kendo is its heart.

Classes are held on Saturday afternoons at Red Lotus School and taught through Zen Bu Kan School of Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship.

Iaido is teh art of drawing, cutting, cleansing, and sheathing the sword — an art practiced to develop self-discipline, control, awareness, and calm presence.

Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing using a special bamboo sword which leads one to develop high degrees of honor, trust, and respect.
